At VFW Post 8322, community and service are at the core of everything we do. Recently, our Post Commander, VFW State Homeless Veteran Director, and retired Chicago Firefighter, Paul Bezazian, who has dedicated nearly 50 years to collecting donations for Chicago’s Homeless Veterans, had the pleasure of visiting St. William Catholic School to speak with their students.

Located just blocks away from our VFW post, St. William Catholic School has been an amazing supporter of VFW 8322’s mission for years. Their commitment to helping others is exemplified through their collection of items for our post’s donation drive and by inviting Mr. Bezazian to speak directly with their students about his work with the VFW and the importance of community service. His heartfelt gratitude was extended to everyone for their generous donations of blankets, food, and toiletries, which will directly benefit those in need on the streets of Chicago.

We are deeply grateful for the ongoing partnership with St. William Catholic School. Their educational philosophy not only prioritizes academic excellence but also emphasizes the values of compassion, community service, and making a positive impact in our community. We are excited to see and continue to work with these future leaders.

Together, with partners like St. William Catholic School, we continue to honor and support our military veterans, ensuring that their sacrifices are never forgotten.
